About Me
My college career began with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, where I developed a strong foundation in human movement, functional anatomy, and overall wellness principles. I am now building off that foundation in the OT world. I am a first-year Occupational Therapy student at Sacred Heart University, and I feel incredibly grateful to be pursuing a career that aligns so closely with my values and passions. Becoming an occupational therapist has been a long-standing goal of mine because helping others has always been at the core of who I am. I am passionate about understanding people’s unique experiences and finding meaningful, creative ways to support them in achieving independence, confidence, and fulfillment in their daily lives. As I continue through the program, I’m excited to explore the many directions OT can take me and discover the different ways I can make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Mission Statement
My mission as an emerging occupational therapy practitioner is to use compassion, creativity, and evidence-based practice to support individuals in achieving meaningful participation in their daily lives. Rooted in my lifelong passion for helping others, I am committed to delivering client-centered care that honors each person’s unique goals, strengths, and lived experiences. I strive to build therapeutic relationships founded on trust, empathy, and genuine understanding. I believe every individual deserves to feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their occupational journey. As I continue my education at Sacred Heart University, I am dedicated to advocating for those who may not have the ability or opportunity to advocate for themselves. I aim to be a reliable voice and support system for clients facing challenges, barriers, or inequities. My mission includes continuously learning, growing, and strengthening my clinical skills so I can provide high-quality care across diverse settings. Ultimately, I hope to create an environment where clients feel safe, supported, and capable of achieving their fullest potential.
